Benefits Plans - health plans: U-M Retirees health plans
U-M retirees have a number of health plan options available. The health plan options differ in the benefit levels they provide and the hospitals you can use. The amount of university and retiree contributions toward retiree benefit plans will vary based on hire date, age, retirement date, eligibility for Medicare, coverage level, and health plan selected.
Your U-M health plans are designed to coordinate with your Medicare benefits, and it is important that you and your dependents enroll in Medicare when you first become eligible. See Medicare for more information.
