U-M DRUG PLAN ANNOUNCES NEW MAIL ORDER PHARMACY
You are receiving this message because records indicate that you are enrolled in the U-M Prescription Drug Plan. On September 1, 2011, the U-M Prescription Drug Plan will provide prescription drug mail order service through NoviXus Pharmacy Services, replacing Walgreens mail service. Overall administration of the university's prescription drug plan will continue under informedRx/SXC, and only mail order pharmacy service will switch from Walgreens mail service to NoviXus. The change of mail order pharmacy service vendors will impact only mail order prescriptions and will not alter other U-M prescription drug plan features, coverage, or member co-pay amounts.
NoviXus Pharmacy Services is located in Novi, Michigan. The transition to NoviXus is expected to result in faster delivery times and a high level of customer service for plan members who use mail service.
In July and again in August, all U-M prescription drug plan members who currently receive prescription drugs through Walgreens mail service will receive a letter from informedRx/SXC with instructions on how to set up a mail order account with NoviXus. On September 1, records for prescriptions with open valid refills will be automatically transferred from Walgreens mail service to NoviXus Pharmacy Services. Certain prescriptions for controlled substances (medication for pain management, anxiety, sleep problems and attention-deficit disorder) cannot be transferred and members will be notified to obtain a new prescription from their health care provider.
If you do not currently use mail service for your prescriptions, no action is required.
