Announcements & Features:
estimated retirement eligibility dates now on wolverine access

Benefits-eligible faculty and staff can now view their estimated retirement eligibility dates through Wolverine Access on a new page in Self Service > Benefits. This new feature can help faculty and staff plan for retirement and replaces the temporary Retirement Health Benefit Estimator that was available on the Benefits Office website.

The new page displays estimated retirement eligibility dates based on current eligibility rules.  The page also shows how the retirement date and University contributions may change based on updates to the retirement eligibility rules that are going into effect on Jan. 1, 2013. The changes were announced in a message to faculty and staff on Feb. 10 and were published in the Feb. 14 issue of the University Record.

Faculty and staff do not need to enter any information to view their retirement eligibility dates. The estimated dates and contribution percentages are personalized and calculated automatically based on eligibility rules and data from service records for each individual, including age, service date, and years of service.

To view your estimated retirement eligibility date, click the link on the Benefits Office website, or follow these steps:

  1. Go to Wolverine Access at http://wolverineaccess.umich.edu
  2. Select the Faculty & Staff tab
  3. Select Employee Self-Service
